Genealogical Initiative

Meeting a powgenealogy icon newslettererful desire in the modern world to connect to the past, genealogical research is taking the world by storm. The James Henry Martineau Family Organization finds its heart and soul in helping us to understand our joint ancestry.

We have recently helped to fund a genealogical visit to France to further our understanding of the Martineau line in the La Rochelle area.

The James Henry Martineau Family Organization was a major funder of the printing of James Henry Martineau’s journal, “Uncommon Common Pioneer”.

The Genealogical Group, headed by Kent Meyers, meets regularly to assist descendants in doing genealogical research and in sharing interesting information about our joint ancestors.

For those who are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, names are available for temple work and temple trips can be planned.

If you are interested in becoming involved in the genealogical group, have questions or if you would like to involve your family in LDS temple work, please send us a note by filling out the contact information below.
